Honorary President of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Vyacheslav Koloskov, believes that the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) will not be interested in the request of the Ukrainian Football Federation (UAF), which demands the cancellation of the match of the Russian national football team against Serbia. “UEFA will not take this into consideration in any way. There was a UEFA decision that only affects official matches. And this is a friendly match. It has nothing to do with restrictive measures. Therefore, this is a gesture of desperation, nothing else. I think UEFA is not interested in this. They will say that this is not prohibited .And FIFA has nothing to do with it,” Koloskov said.
A friendly match between the Russian and Serbian national teams is planned to be held in Moscow at the Dynamo stadium in March 2024.
