American blogger and boxer Jake Paul wants to challenge mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Fedor Emelianenko to a fight TASS.
According to the source, Paul wants to meet the Russian athlete in the ring according to boxing rules.
“Yes, it would be an interesting story; A boxing match with Fedor Emelianenko. We need to work from the opponent’s perspective, but Jake is ready to offer it,” said one of Paul’s team members.
On February 5 of this year, at the Bellator 290 tournament, Fedor Emelianenko lost to American Ryan Bader and the fight ended in the first round. The referee stopped the match in the third minute. After the fight, Emelianenko announced his retirement.
In January 2019, athletes already met in the octagon. Then the US representative won in the 35th second. In total, the Russian athlete had 48 fights in MMA, of which he had 40 wins and seven defeats.
