Champions League 1/8 final draws were drawn

On December 18, the draw for the 1/8 final of the Champions League was held in Nyon (Switzerland). Based on their results, eight pairs were created:

“Porto” – “Arsenal”;
Naples – Barcelona;
PSG – Real Sociedad;
“Inter” – “Atlético”;
PSV – Borussia;
Lazio – Bayern;
Copenhagen – Manchester City;
RB Leipzig-Real Madrid.

The UEFA Champions League final of the 2023/2024 season will be played on 1 June 2024 at Wembley Stadium (London). The current winner of the tournament is England’s Manchester City.

In the spring of 2022, the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to suspend the participation of the Russian national team and all Russian clubs in all competitions controlled by these organizations.

Russian clubs other than Zenit did not play a single match in European cups in 2022. St. The St. Petersburg team lost to Spanish Betis 2:3 on aggregate in the 1/16 stage of the Europa League. Thanks to the victory in the group stage, Spartak had to play in the play-offs with RB Leipzig.
