19-year-old Russian hockey player Artem Duda has been banned from playing in the US student league by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). This was reported by College Hockey News.

The NCAA rejected the appeal of a hockey player who sought permission to play at the University of Maine, which he entered in the summer of 2023. Duda moved to the USA with a valid contract with CSKA Moscow.

The hockey player, who studied at the CSKA school, began his performances at the professional level in the 2020/21 season as part of the youth team of the Red Army army club. In January 2022, he was invited to play at the VHL level as part of the Zvezda farm club.

In the summer of 2022, Duda was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the National Hockey League (NHL) draft. Since October 2022, the hockey player began to participate in games at the Continental Hockey League (KHL) level. On October 21, in CSKA’s home match against the Avtomobilist club, he earned his first goal score in the KHL and became the author of the assist.
