More than 700 initiatives and projects It has been carried out by LALIGA and the clubs since the 2015/16 season with the aim of eliminating on- and off-field violence and racism. Their aim is nothing less than to promote an inclusive and tolerant society at the grassroots level through education, prevention and action. Certainly these three are the pillars. LALIGA VS, LALIGA project and clubs that aim to inspire fans and raise awareness through the values ​​of football, so that together we can build a society free of hate.

LALIGA VS was born with a dual mission to give voice to the work that LALIGA and its clubs have been doing continuously for over eight years to achieve a more tolerant society, and to serve as a driving force in the creation of new initiatives. help end the violence in society, both with clubs and other institutions and leagues such as Asobal or LNFS and groups such as Aficiones Unidas.

Eight years forward

For almost a decade, both LALIGA and the clubs have implemented hundreds of projects that are today included in LALIGA VS. Some of these are repeated regularly, such as the talks and trainings conducted by the LALIGA Integrity and Safety department or the FOUNDATION’s Future Hobby project. In total, more than 150 training sessions were given in clubs to young players, students, coaches or members of the National Police Service and others during this period.

Other initiatives are permanent in nature; for example, MOD, on social networks The Hate in Sports Monitor allows measuring the speech and knowing the degree of violence prevailing in the networks. These are projects that clubs help deliver across Spain. For example, in the last five years, LALIGA teams have developed 44 initiatives aimed at stopping hate speech.
