Prominent Russian agent Dmitry Selyuk called the disqualification of Spartak Moscow head coach Guillermo Abascal and Rostov coach Valery Karpin nonsense. His words are quoted by the publication “Euro-Football.Ru”.

“The coach goes to the VIP box, drinks cognac and a caviar sandwich, watches the match and can see it even better. In principle, I would call this a reward, not a disqualification. For example, instead of sitting on a bench at -10 in hot weather, he gives instructions via radio. “Buses rest on the upper floor in hot weather,” he said.

In the middle of the first half of the match against Akhmat Grozny in the 17th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) (1:2), Abascal, the Spanish coach of the Red and Whites, received a red card for pushing the player. Celebrating his team’s goal, Grozny club Bernard Berisha jumped into the Spartak technical area with both feet. The fielder was warned and received no further penalty. Abascal later apologized for his behavior.

On 7 December, the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (RFU KDK) disqualified Abascal for two matches and one postponed match.

After the match against CSKA (0:2) in the 17th round of the national championship, Karpin harshly criticized the decision to hold the match in heavy snow. Weather conditions during the match were such that snow was cleared from the pitch during the match. Karpin was disqualified for two matches, one of which was a suspension.

Previously Vasily Utkin named Hopeless situation with Abascal.
