Franco Camozzi, former advisor to the former owner of the capital’s Spartak Leonid Fedun, in an interview ODDS.ru He stated that Atalanta midfielder Alexei Miranchuk should not return to the Russian Premier League (RPL) from Europe.
According to him, the Lokomotiv graduate needs to hold on tightly to his chances in Europe’s top leagues.
“Despite the rumors about Alexey Miranchuk’s return, it would be better for him to stay in Europe and conquer it further. But if he returns to Russia, it will not be a personal defeat for him,” Camozzi said.
Alexey Miranchuk moved to Atalanta from Lokomotiv Moscow in September 2020. He signed a four and a half year contract. The Russian player failed to gain a place in the main team and was transferred to Turin on loan in the summer of 2022. The midfielder spent a year at the Torino club, scoring four goals in 29 appearances.
He played eight games for Atalanta this season, but was not effective.
