CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev recalled his first day after joining the main team of the Muscovites. His words are quoted “Sports Express”.
“We go to the base in Arkhangelskoye, I put my bag on the first floor, they give me a key, but before that they tell me: “Go to the second floor to see Valery Georgievich.” The meeting probably lasted a full thirty seconds when I walked in. Akinfeev is a graduate of CSKA. In total, he played more than 750 matches for the red-dark blue team.
