The America Cup It will be the national team competition that will paralyze the continent in June and July 2024. WHEN IS THE 2024 AMERICAN CUP DRAW AND WHERE WILL IT BE HELD?
CONMEBOL confirmed that the draw will go ahead Thursday, December 7, at the James L. Knight Center, Miami, Florida. It starts at 7:30 PM local time (9:30 PM in Argentina, 6:30 PM in Mexico, 7:30 PM in Colombia and 1:30 AM on Friday the 8th in Spain).

Through an extensive newsletter, CONMEBOL explained how the procedure will be worked out so that the four groups are defined, of which the best two teams will advance to the quarter-finals:
SERIES OF HEADS
The four teams that will lead each zone are Argentina (current champion of the CONMEBOL Copa América), Mexico (CONCACAF Gold Cup Champion, qualified through Nations League 2023), USA (CONCACAF team best placed in the FIFA rankings through the Nations League) and Brazil (CONMEBOL team best placed in the FIFA rankings and not the current Copa América champions).
BOLILLEROS
The draw will have four bowlers, the first of which will match the seeds. The other 10 already assigned teams were ready according to the classification in the December FIFA rankingswhile the two that will compete in the CONCACAF Play-In will go straight to the fourth pool.
- BOLILLERO 1: Argentina (A1), Mexico (A2), United States (A3), Brazil (A4)
- BOLILLERO 2: Uruguay (11th in the rankings), Colombia (15th), Ecuador (32nd), Peru (35th)
- BOLILLERO 3: Chile (40°), Panama (41°), Venezuela (49°), Paraguay (53°)
- BOLILLERO 4: Jamaica (55th), Bolivia (85th), CONCACAF 5 (Canada or Trinidad and Tobago), CONCACAF 6 (Honduras or Costa Rica).
EXCEPTIONS
One of the clarifications of the draw is that There cannot be groups with more than three CONMEBOL teams or with more than two CONCACAF teams., so the team that was drawn and this impossibility occurred goes to the immediately following group. In this way there will be two groups with three teams from CONMEBOL and one from CONCACAF and two groups with two teams from CONMEBOL and two from CONCACAF.
