What result does Sevilla need in Arsenal vs. Lens on the last day of the Champions League to the Europa League?
Sevilla have only two points from five presentations and to reach at least third place in Group B on the last day they need two results:
- First of all, let Arsenal (9 points) beat Lens (5) in London tonight. If the French score in England, Sevilla will already be out of Europe.

Secondly, Sevilla will have to beat Lens the next day to get those five points ahead of the French, who would win the respective goal average (they drew 1-1 in Spain). In that case, Alonso’s team would go to the Europa League, regardless of what happens on the last day in the PSV – Arsenal match.
In short, Sevilla will only go to the Europa League if Arsenal beat Lens today and the Spaniards beat Lens on the last day. Any other scenario leaves the Andalusians outside Europe.
