The evening looked very ugly in Montjuic, where the ‘Joaos’ seemed to allay the fears of Barcelona fans.
After falling in the group stages two years in a row, Barcelona returns to the round of 16 of the Champions League. He does this by going from panic to comeback, with Joao Cancelo and Joao Félix scoring the goals to make it 2-1 against Porto.
Barça suffered in the first half, played a poor opening phase and paid for it with the first goal of the evening, the work of Pepé (not Pepe, whistled in the mountains because of his past in Madrid). Iñaki Peña, replacing the injured Ter Stegen, could do no more to prevent a 0-1 draw. Fortunately for the Catalans, Cancelo came up with a beautiful goal to equalize two minutes later.
The other Joao and also Portuguese Xavi has appeared to save the furniture of Barça and its coach, with Félix scoring the final 2-1 goal. The former Benfica player, whistled by the Porto fans, made a double wall with Cancelo and gave the culés the victory to secure their ticket to the round of 16.
