Former UFC champion Petr Yan says he won’t worry about money if he retires

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bantamweight champion Petr Yan answered whether he can retire and think about finances. Peter Yan is quoted as saying “Sports Express”.

“Yes, it’s not about finances here, but the point is that this is a sport where you have to really and consciously understand whether you can compete at the level you are at. Can you really compete? I consciously understand that I can do this,” Yang said.

At the end of September, the Russian fighter announced that he had undergone surgery. Yang has lost his last three fights. In March, Georgian Dvalishvili defeated the Russian by unanimous decision. On October 22, 2022, American Sean O’Malley defeated Petr Yan by split decision in their bantamweight fight at UFC-280 in Abu Dhabi. In April 2022, the Russian lost to Aljamain Sterling in the UFC-273 tournament. This meeting was vindictive in nature.
