Kokorin received the “Golden Vase” award, the worst transfer of the season in Serie A. “This is one of the most disastrous transfers in Fiorentina history,” the journalist said.
Goalkeeper Rusla Nigmatullin played for Hellas Verona (2002) and Salernitana (2004-2005) clubs in Italy.
Kokorin transferred from Spartak Moscow to Fiorentina in the winter of 2021. After spending a season on loan at Aris in Cyprus, he returned to the Italian team in the summer of 2023. The clubs reached an agreement again in September for the 32-year-old striker, who will spend his second season in Cyprus. His contract with Fiorentina will expire in the summer of 2024.
