New York Rangers defeated Boston Bruins at home in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The match, which took place at the Madison Square Garden stadium in New York, ended with the score of 7:4 for Rangers. Russian striker Artemy Panarin scored the seventh goal of the winning team. Nick Bonino, Chris Kreider, who had a double, Jimmy Vesey, K’Andre Miller and Tyler Pitlick also scored.

Charlie Coyle, Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak scored twice for Boston.

Panarin also recorded an assist. The Russian forward appeared in 19 NHL games in total this season and scored 11 goals and 17 assists. Rangers’ goal was defended by Russian goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin, who managed to put 27 shots at his own goal.

The Rangers won their third straight game, which moved the team into first place in the NHL Eastern Conference. Boston suffered its second straight defeat and has lost three of its last four games.
