Rafa Nadal, who won his 14th title at Roland Garros last Sunday, presided over an emotional and warm academic ceremony this afternoon. Graduation of 33 students who completed their school years in Rafa Nadal International SchoolAmerican international school located by Movistar on the premises of Rafa Nadal Academy.

“Now I know that urgency is fashionable and patience is not a highly prized virtue. When we want something, we just pick up the mobile phone and go shopping, watch the news or get the information we need.
But today I want to remind you that big goals in life are not achieved overnight. They are obtained by fighting, fighting and learning from falls. I believe you will all be great professionals and good people, which is the most important thing. But I also tell you from experience that along the way you will encounter unexpected moments and disappointments that will make you doubt everything. In those moments, you should lean on your family, friends and people you trust who will remind you of your dreams and goals so that you can dream them again.
Failure is only bad if you don’t know how to get up and fight again. Sometimes you will fall once, again and again. Only then do you have to be humble and accept that sometimes things don’t always go the way we want them to.
Therefore, in a society that prefers short-term things, I prefer to uphold two seemingly outdated virtues: Humility and Perseverance. You will have a lot to gain in this life if you are patient and have the perseverance and optimism to not give up.
But I also tell you that virtues are not acquired immediately, you also have to work on them every day in your daily activity.
