The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has not received mandatory contributions from Russia and Belarus for 2023. This has been reported Web site organizations.
It is stated that the Russian side had to pay 1.267 million dollars to the WADA treasury, and the Belarusians had to pay 46 thousand dollars. Among the European countries, it is stated that WADA did not receive money from Georgia, Iceland and Monaco. The remaining countries refunded the payments in full or in part.
On September 22, 2023, WADA announced that RUSADA continued to fail to comply with the World Anti-Doping Code. Additionally, WADA punished 218 Russian athletes based on data obtained from the Moscow laboratory.
The World Friendship Games will be held in Moscow and Yekaterinburg from 15 to 29 September 2024. This is the first multi-sport competition to include performances in all 25 Summer Olympic and non-Olympic sports.
