Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, who ranks first in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, reached the semi-finals of the ATP Finals after Danish Holger Rune lost to Italian Jannik Sinner in the group stage match of the tournament.

The match between Sinner and Rune ended in three sets with scores of 6:2, 5:7, 6:4.

In the group stage, Djokovic beat Rune and Pole Hubert Hurkacz but lost to Sinner. Thus, the Italian tennis player, who won three times in the tournament, rose to the first place in the group, and Djokovic advanced to the semi-finals from the second place.

In addition, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev, who won two victories in his group, has already reached the semi-finals of the ATP Final Tournament. In his next match, he will play against the world’s second racket, Carlos Alcaraz.

The final ATP tournament will take place in Turin, Italy, between 12-19 November. Djokovic is the current champion of the competition. Djokovic has already secured first place in the rankings at the end of the year, having won a difficult and decisive victory over Dane Rune in the first round match – 7:6 (4), 6:7 (1), 6 :3.
