Famous Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Vladimir Mineev reacted emotionally to those who criticized high salaries in MMA. His words are quoted “News”.

“For some reason a very broad audience believes that someone should fight for pennies. Have any of these people had a fight at least once in their life? Have you ever been to training? Do you know what it means to get up and go to the gym every day? I’m tired of these bags, bandages, voices, gong signal, fights, training. I have been doing this for more than 20 years,” Mineev said.

On November 18, 2022 in Moscow, Vladimir Mineev defeated Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in a fight according to kickboxing rules. Immediately after this fight, the Russian signed a contract to serve in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces. He serves in the Northern Military District region.

Mineev had his last fight against Magomed Ismailov at the AMC Fight Nights tournament on October 16, 2021. He retained his middleweight belt by knocking out his opponent in the third round.

On November 18, 2023, Mineev will fight Ivan Shtyrkov.
