Rubin midfielder Ruslan Bezrukov said that the team’s former coach Leonid Slutsky will return to coaching sooner or later. RIA News.

“Even though he is now working in the media, he misses football. This can also be felt in conversations. Sooner or later he will come back and I will be happy about it,” Bezrukov said.

Slutsky worked at CSKA from 2009 to 2016. During this time, the Moscow club became national champions three times, twice won the Russian Cup and the Super Cup. From 2015 to 2016 he combined work in the army team and the Russian national team. Under his leadership, the national team qualified for the 2016 European Championship, but failed to qualify from the group, losing to Slovakia and Wales and drawing with England.

Slutsky’s last place of employment was Rubin, which he left on November 15, 2022. He has not been involved in coaching since then but is very active in appearing on various comedy shows and commentating on matches.
