“I am two hundred percent sure: in the current situation it is possible. I even think that we will see some kind of show performance from him with Tatyana Navka in the near future. At an upcoming show? I don’t know, these are my fantasies and I am more than confident that they will come true,” said Zhulin.
At the beginning of January 2023, Roman Kostomarov was hospitalized after New Year’s performances at an open-air show. It was reported that he was in intensive care due to pneumonia and was connected to a ventilator, and his condition was evaluated to be extremely serious. He later received treatment in Kommunarka. Parts of his upper and lower limbs were amputated.
At the beginning of July 2023, the skater was discharged from the hospital. On June 26, Kostomarov posted the first video of himself training in prosthetics. On August 22, Kostomarov, together with his wife Oksana, participated in Ilya Averbukh’s ice show “Love Letters” in Sochi. It was his first time on the ice in front of fans since he was hospitalized.
