Olympic hockey champion and State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov was dissatisfied with the words of International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach about the creation of alternative competitions. His words are quoted “Match TV”.

“Yes, he went, do you know where? Who is he to us? What does Bach have to do with what’s going on in our lives? Moreover, it violates the rights of all athletes. And mine too.

Who is he to us? He will still ban us! I wasn’t even going to look in that direction anymore. “I would send this Bach to hell,” Fetisov said.

Bach has previously said that the organization of international sports competitions by the governments of individual countries, bypassing the IOC and international sports federations, is a danger to the sports movement.

At the end of February 2022, the IOC issued an appeal to international sports federations, recommending that Russian and Belarusian athletes not be allowed to participate in any competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.

On October 12, the IOC announced the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) until further notice, following the inclusion of the Olympic Councils of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the Russian organization.

Previously Elena Vyalbe statedThe IOC will get on its knees and beg the Russians to come back.
