Artemy Panarin, the Russian forward of the New York Rangers club, made an assist against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL) and repeated the two-goal record set in the league in the last century.
In the 32nd minute of the match, Panarin, along with Vincent Trocheck, assisted Alexi Lafreniere, who scored Rangers’ second goal.
Panarin extended his NHL scoring streak to 14 games, repeating the Russian record set by Dmitry Kvartalnov during the 1992-1993 season when he was a Boston Bruins player. The Rangers player also repeated the club record set by Rod Gilbert in the 1972/1973 season.
The 32-year-old striker increased his total for the 2023/24 season to 23 (8 goals and 15 assists). Panarin totaled 223 goals and 460 assists in 604 games during his NHL career.
