Antonela Roccuzzo has sent a strong signal that Luis Suárez is set to join Inter Miami with her latest social media post.

WHAT HAPPENED? Suarez is expected to leave Gremio and join Lionel Messi and his former Barcelona teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami. A one-year contract with an option for a further 12 months has reportedly already been agreed and Suarez will play in the MLS in 2024. Messi’s wife seems to be looking forward to spending a lot of time with Suarez’s family in the near future.
WHAT THEY PUBLISHED: Roccuzzo celebrated her friend’s birthday on Instagram with a series of images and the caption, “Happy Birthday.” She also wrote: “Here’s to more laughter, more stories and more sunsets together. I adore you and I miss you. PS: We need to update our photos, friend.”
WHAT THEY SAID: Gremio coach Renato Gaucho has already said it will take a miracle to keep Suarez, while Inter Miami coach Tata Martino has admitted the Uruguayan has plans for the future.
THE RUMORS: Suarez and Messi are close friends and spent six years together at Barcelona before the former Liverpool striker was deemed expendable in a move that angered Messi. The former Liverpool man has previously admitted that the two players dream of retiring together and it now appears his wish will come true.

WHAT’S NEXT? Inter Miami will be back in action in 2024 when the new season starts. Meanwhile, Messi will face Uruguay and Argentina in World Cup qualifying. Suarez was left out of Uruguay’s squad and it remains to be seen whether he will be called up again.
