The second competition day of the 2023 World Sambo Championship ended in Yerevan.

In the men’s sports sambo category, Russian Ramed Gukev won the gold medal in the weight category up to 71 kg, and Russian Artem Osipenko won the gold medal in the weight category over 98 kg.

In the women’s category, Daniela Zhdan from Russia came first in the up to 65 kg category, while Russian Ksenia Zadornova became the strongest name in the up to 72 kg category.

In the Sambo fight, Mukhtar Gamzaev won at 58 kg, Sheikh-Mansur Khabibulaev (both from Russia) won at 64 kg.

The 2023 World Championship, whose partners are Rosneft and VTB Bank, will end in the capital of Armenia on November 12.
