Russian forward for National Hockey League (NHL) club Evgeny Kuznetsov scored two goals in a regular season match against the New Jersey Devils.
Kuznetsov scored his 558th point for the capital, allowing the team to rise to third place in the goalscoring list.
Washington managed to win by a score of 4:2. Among the winners, in addition to Kuznetsov, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Bec Malensteen also stood out. Timo Maier and Dawson Mercer scored for the Devils.
Alexander Ovechkin made an assist.
Washington is in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings with 14 points. New Jersey is in seventh place with 15 points.
