New York Rangers defeated Minnesota Wild in the regular season match of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The match, which took place at the Madison Square Garden stadium in New York, ended with a score of 4:1. Vincent Trocheck, Alexi Lafreniere, Blake Wheeler and Artemi Panarin scored goals on the winning team. Brandon Duhaime scored Minnesota’s only goal.
Russian Rangers forward Panarin also made an assist, helping Lafreniere score the second goal for the New York club. The 32-year-old striker increased his total in the 2023/24 season to 22 (8 goals and 14 assists). The Russian scored in all 13 regular season games, becoming the eighth hockey player in team history to score 20 points in 12 or fewer games.
Russian Rangers goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin did not take part in the match due to injury. Minnesota’s Russian forward Kirill Kaprizov could not score a goal or get a point in this match.
Previously Panarin repeated Jagr’s success 17 years ago.
