Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery was unhappy with the behavior of the team’s Russian hockey players in the game against Florida. His words are quoted Hockey News.

“Overtime goal? Kuzi went out and lost his position. You’re going to make mistakes. This is hockey, it’s a sport. There will be mistakes throughout the game, misplaced pucks, etc. But you can’t make glaring mistakes. You can’t lose a guy behind you like you did in the third period. Anyway When we’re tired we can’t score the puck. There are other examples,” Carbery said.

On November 9, Washington lost to Florida in overtime with a score of 3:4. Capitals players scored first and conceded two goals in the first period. In the second period Carbery’s men managed to regain the lead. In the final period, Russian defender Alexander Alekseev missed Evan Rodriguez, who equalized the score. And in overtime, Florida scored thanks to an error by Evgeniy Kuznetsov.

This defeat was Washington’s sixth defeat in 11 games of the season.
