Former Russian national hockey player Pavel Bure in an interview “Match TV” He said that North America was his place of business and that he decided to surrender his US citizen passport as soon as he finished his career.

“I was working in America, I had to live in two countries. And when I finished playing, I realized that I didn’t want to be stuck between two countries. I’d rather be at home in Russia. Therefore, I decided to live in Russia with my future family.

Even in the 90s, I would come home every summer during vacation, even though some NHL players didn’t come. North America was the place to work. And when this was over, I handed over my passport,” said the former hockey player.

Pavel Bure won the World Championships (1990) and was a silver (1998) and bronze (2002) Olympic medalist. He played for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Rangers and Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played 702 matches in the regular championship and collected 779 (437+342) points. He also played in 64 Stanley Cup games and scored 70 points (35 goals, 35 assists).

He completed his sports career in 2003.
