KHL disqualifies SKA coach Rotenberg

St. St. Petersburg SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg was disqualified from one game of the regular season for criticizing the referees. This has been reported official website Continental Hockey League (KHL).

“Roman Rotenberg, the head coach of the Army team, made public statements about the refereeing of the match in which the paragraphs were violated many times. 1.24 Article 1 paragraph 55 of the KHL sports regulations. In the statement, it was stated that in accordance with Article 30 and 39 of the KHL disciplinary regulations, the club was fined and the team’s head coach, Roman Rotenberg, was given a one-match disqualification penalty.

Rotenberg allowed himself to criticize the referees after the Avangard Omsk match. During the match, Verba and Zinchenko got into a fistfight. After the SKA player fell on the ice, the referees did not stop the Avangard forward’s shots. This disturbed not only Rotenberg but also the victim herself.

SKA lost to Avangard with a score of 2:5 in this match. Rotenberg will not be able to play in the match against Vityaz on November 4.
