Zenit St. Petersburg, who resigned as the coach of Dynamo Kiev on November 3. Former St. Petersburg coach Mircea Lucescu announced his retirement at a press conference.

On November 3, Dynamo Kiev lost to Shakhtar in the Ukrainian Championship. Lucescu resigned immediately after the match.

“I don’t want to talk about the game today. I devoted 15 years to Ukrainian football. I decided to finish my career here. This was the last game. “I said goodbye to my players, Shakhtar players,” Lucescu said.

In the Ukrainian Championship, Dynamo Kiev is in seventh place with 16 points. Krivbass took first place with 26 points, and Polesie took second place with 25 points. Shakhtar is in the top three with 24 points.

Lucescu took over Dinamo in the summer of 2020. During this time, he led the team to victory in the national championship, as well as the Ukrainian Cup and the Super Cup. Before that, he worked for Dynamo’s main rival in the Ukrainian championship, Shakhtar, for 12 years. He and his team won 21 national championships and won the UEFA Cup in the 2008/09 season.
