The cause of death of former Manchester United football player Bobby Charlton has been revealed

Former Manchester United striker and Ballon d’Or winner Bobby Charlton died in an accident. This was reported by “BBC”.

A former footballer lost his balance when he stood up from a chair while in a care home and then crashed into a window sill and “possibly a radiator”. Police teams made a detailed examination of the body and no injuries were found. Charlton was nevertheless hospitalized for swelling in his back. A chest X-ray and CT scan showed his ribs were broken and he likely had pneumonia.

Charlton died on 21 October. He was 86 years old.

Charlton spent most of his career at Manchester United (606 matches). As part of the club, he won the English Championship three times, the National Cup once and the European Champions Cup (Champions League).

At the 1966 World Cup, Charlton won the cup as part of the England team. In the final his team beat the German team with a score of 4:2. Charlton scored three goals in the tournament.
