Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev left the competition after losing sensationally to Bulgarian representative Grigor Dmitrov with scores of 3:6, 7:6, 6:7 in the second round match of the Masters tournament held in Paris (France).
The duration of the meeting was 2 hours and 54 minutes. Medvedev has six aces out of 12, eight double faults and three converted break points.
Three Russians remain in the tournament in Paris. In the third round, Karen Khachanov and Roman Safiullin will play each other, while Andrey Rublev will face Dutch Botik van de Zandshulp.
On October 28, Medvedev lost to Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner in the final of the ATP 500 tournament held in Vienna (Austria) with scores of 6:7, 6:4, 3:6.
In the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) rankings, Medvedev ranks third with 7,200 points, making him the best Russian player. Dmitrov is in 17th place (2,060 points).
