He stated that he started experiencing financial difficulties after completing his football career. He began to drink alcohol and did not pay taxes, so his debt reached 70 thousand rubles. Therefore, he started working as a drug dealer. Through drug dealers, he obtained 500 grams of mephedrone, which he was supposed to distribute in Sochi and Krasnodar. It was noted that Alexey had previously told law enforcement about his accomplices. Also found on his phone were photos of the places he had bookmarked.
In his professional career, Alexey Bugaev played for Lokomotiv, Krasnodar, Tom, Khimki and Torpedo. The defender played seven matches with the Russian national team and did not score a goal. He decided to quit football in 2010, when he was 29 years old. According to the Transfermarkt portal, Bugaev reached the peak of his market value in 2005, when he defended the colors of Lokomotiv.
