English Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah set a new goalscoring record for English teams in European competitions. This was reported by the official website of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).

On October 26, the Egyptian scored a goal against French Toulouse in the third round of the Europa League group stage (5:1). The 31-year-old football player currently has 43 goals for Liverpool in European Cup tournaments. He beat former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry (42).

After three matches, the Merseysiders sit first in Group E with nine points. Toulouse is in third place.

Salah has been playing for Liverpool since the summer of 2017. The player, who played 12 matches in various tournaments with the English club this season, scored nine goals and made four assists in these matches.

In the next round, Jürgen Klopp’s team will face Nottingham Forest at home as part of the 10th round of the English Premier League (EPL). The meeting will start at 17.00 Moscow time on October 29.
