TSN analyst Craig Button stated that the Russian forward of the Washington Capitals has lost his former enthusiasm in this season of the National Hockey League (NHL).

“He doesn’t look like a player controlling the game who wants to get the puck. But I think Alexander Ovechkin always plays with great enthusiasm. Excessive energy. And I don’t see that this season!

What he now lost was his enthusiasm for throwing the discus. I think Ovi will find it. And as soon as he does that, he will start scoring goals again at a very high rate,” Button said on TSN.

In this season of the NHL regular championship, Alexander Ovechkin took part in four matches of the team and made two assists. The Capitals won just one game.

Now the Russian has 822 goals scored in his NHL career (he scored 42 goals last season). The difference with Wayne Gretzky is 72. The Canadian player has 894 goals and continues to rank first among snipers in NHL history.

Previously in the USA evaluated the possibility Ovechkin’s change from Washington.
