Russian figure skater Alexander Enbert, who won a silver medal in the team competitions at the 2018 Olympics, talked about the possible cooperation of the Plushenko Academy of Angels with the Honored Coach of Russia Natalya Linichuk, who could head the dance department of the organization. He told socialbites.ca that he sees this as a natural path for the development of the academy.
“It seems like a pretty organic and natural progression to me. Now we can see what athlete couples look like in Eteri Georgievna Tutberidze’s group. Dances are now appearing at the Inspiration skating rink, where I studied with Nina Mikhailovna Moser, and the group consisting of Elena Maslennikova and Ilya Averbukh is currently training there. A good, strong team working in one type, with the participation of specialists in another type, still remains strong. After all, the team consists of physical conditioning trainers, choreographers, doctors and massage therapists. Figure skating is scaling and there are a lot of people behind the results. And if there is a basis, attracting the attention of a competent expert will speed up and multiply the work,” Enbert thinks.
Natalya Linichuk emigrated to the United States in the 90s, but returned to Russia for permanent residence in 2023. She stated that she plans to continue coaching and is open to offers.
Previously Enbert named The main problem of Kostornaya.
