Russian fighter Islam Makhachev set a record for accuracy of strikes in a single fight in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Journalist Aaron Bronsteter talked about this on social networks.

On October 21, Makhachev defeated Australian Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294. Makhachev landed 82% of accurate hover strikes, a new record. The previous success was set by Justin Gaethje.

The Russian player defeated his opponent by knockout in the first round and defended his title for the second time. The previous meeting between them also ended in Makhachev’s victory.
