Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Khamzat Chimaev admitted that he was thinking about the title and the big money he would receive. His words are quoted ESPN MMA.
“Do I need a title? Of course I’m thinking about this big money. Because if I get the belt, I can help a lot of people. There’s a lot of money in this sport and I’m grateful for the support from the UFC guys. I have already built a gym and helped many homeless people. This is money, it helps not only me but also other people,” said Chimaev.
On October 21, Chimaev defeated Nigerian Kamaru Usman by decision in the co-main fight of the night at the UFC 294 tournament in Abu Dhabi (UAE). In total, the Swedish fighter of Russian origin had 13 fights and won all of them. Chimaev is ranked No. 4 in the official UFC heavyweight rankings.
The main fight of the night was the match between Russian Islam Makhachev and Australian Alex Volkanovski. Victory remained in the hands of the Russian warrior. The Russian player defeated his opponent by knockout in the first round and defended his title for the second time.
