“We are working with the federation to strengthen our system here. A good project is “Golden Puck”. We will now work with our MPs on developing legal regulations to protect the interests of our athletes and coaches and limit travel abroad. At the same time, it is important for them to realize their sporting talents,” said Matytsin.
On October 17, ESPN journalists and analysts compiled a ranking of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) top 100 players playing in the new 2023/2024 season.
The list includes nine Russian hockey players: Nikita Kucherov (Tampa Bay Lightning) – eighth place, Kirill Kaprizov (Minnesota Wild) – 17th place, Igor Shesterkin (New York Rangers) – 28th place, Ilya Sorokin (New York Islanders) – 30th place, Artemiy Panarin (Rangers) – 32nd place, Alexander Ovechkin (Washington Capitals) – 37th place, Mikhail Sergachev (Tampa) – 53rd place, Andrei Vasilevski (Tampa) – 57th place, Sergei Bobrovsky (Florida Panthers) ) – 97th place.
