Tata Martino said Luis Suárez is already in Inter Miami’s plans for next season.
The Uruguayan forward was linked with a move to the Florida club in the last transfer market, but Gremio refused to let him leave despite his desire to move to the United States.
Suárez confirmed that he will leave Gremio at the end of the season, which is earlier than expected as he would still have a year left on his contract, and MLS is his most likely destination as Martino confirmed that Miami is thinking of him.
A move to MLS would see Suarez reunite with his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi. The duo spent six years together at Camp Nou, winning four La Liga titles and a Champions League.

The 36-year-old said in July that he and Messi always planned to retire together and it appears that dream will become a reality based on Martino’s latest comments.
“Within our analysis of next season and the needs we may have, we have an analysis with Luis and an analysis without Luis,” the Miami coach said at a news conference. “So when the time comes to make Suárez’s situation official with regard to Inter Miami, we will be ready to move in the corresponding direction.”
Inter Miami concludes its MLS campaign when it faces Charlotte this week. They will then likely focus on signing Suarez from Gremio before the 2024 season.
