Serbian Spartak’s head coach Alexander Kerzhakov said that Russian expert Stanislav Cherchesov told him that he would become the coach of the Russian national team in 2002. Kerzhakov’s words are quoted as follows: “Sports Express”.
“The day before leaving for the 2002 World Cup, he talked with Lesha Smertin and we lived in the same room. “Come here!” he calls out. And he lectures me for half an hour.
