Dynamo Moscow student Alexey Yotov shared his views on Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin’s unsuccessful start to the new season of the National Hockey League (NHL). Yotov quotes his words vprognoze.ru.
“Sasha is a player with tremendous experience and talent. I think he does not strain his preparations for the season, he probably rests his body more in the off-season than young players. Yotov will get in shape with official matches, accelerate and score 40-50 goals,” he said.
Ovechkin played two games at the beginning of the season but has not been effective yet.
Ovechkin, who played in 74 regular season games in the NHL last season, scored 42 goals and 33 assists. However, this did not help the Capitals reach the tournament’s play-offs. The Russian player currently has 822 goals scored in his NHL career. The difference with Gretzky is 72 goals. The Canadian has 894 goals and remains first among snipers in NHL history.
Previously reportedOvechkin repeated his personal anti-record, which has stood since 2021.
