Roma forward Serdar Azmoun may be betting on horses in the stands during his club’s match. Journalist Fabrizio Corona reported this on his social networks.

The journalist published a video on the Dillinger News channel during a match of the Italian football team, in which the striker watches the horse race on his smartphone in the stands of the stadium.

“We are talking about gambling addiction. Roma paid 12.5 million euros for this player, but he does not play and sits in the stands. It’s impressive that he watches the horse race instead of watching his team run around the field.

And dozens of young football millionaires like him, captivated by the smartphone screen: horses, blackjack, poker,” Corona wrote.

The Iranian player will not be investigated as he is not seen betting on football.

On 26 August, Roma announced a one-year loan deal for Azmoun from Bayer Leverkusen. The Iranian football player’s contract with the German club is valid until 2027. The striker, who played a total of 23 matches in the Bundesliga last season, scored 4 goals and 1 assist. The club finished in sixth place.

The striker played for Zenit from 2019 to 2021, prior to which he defended Rubin Kazan’s jersey.

Previously reportedIt was stated that the Juventus player was disqualified for seven months due to betting.
