He has 36 matches in the Russian national team. Kanchelskis won the 1990 European Junior Championships.
In mid-July, Kanchelskis was appointed general manager of Kazakh Tobol. Before that, Uzbek Navbakhor worked as a coach in Solaris, Jurmala and Ufa.
