After reaching the final of the Masters series tournament in Shanghai, Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev rose from seventh to fifth in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings and now has 4,765 points.

Rublev lost the Masters final to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz. The meeting lasted 2 hours and 6 minutes and ended with the score of 6:3, 3:6, 7:6 (10:8) and Russia became the leader in the tiebreaker with a score of 5:2. The Russian tennis player played in the final of the Masters series tournament for the second time this season. In April, the Russian became the winner of the competition, defeating Dane Holger Rune in the decisive match in Monte Carlo.

Rublev has not yet guaranteed himself a place in the Tennis Professionals Association Final Tournament; His participation in the competition will depend on how he plays in the other two tournaments he participates in.

Serbian Novak Djokovic continues to lead the rankings with 11,545 points. Spanish Carlos Alcaraz ranks second with 8,715 points. Russian Daniil Medvedev (7490 points) completed the top three.
