Mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Vladimir Mineev stated on social networks that his military service will end only after military service, although he received the status of deputy of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Yes, MPs are exempt from military service. But this is not the case in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson. Because these are regions where there is a war regime,” Mineev said.

On September 12, Mineev announced that he became the deputy of the Donetsk People’s Council. The fighter’s next opponent will be Ivan Shtyrkov. The fight will take place on November 18 according to kickboxing rules.

Vladimir Mineev had his last fight under MMA rules against Magomed Ismailov on October 16 at the AMC Fight Nights tournament. He retained his middleweight belt by knocking out his opponent in the third round.

On November 18, 2022, in Moscow, a Russian fighter defeated Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in a fight according to kickboxing rules. Immediately after this war, Mineev signed a contract to serve in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.

Previously fighter Ivan Shtyrkov compared Mineeva with Wonder Woman.
