Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev managed to reach the semi-finals in the Masters series tournament held in Shanghai, China.
In the quarter-final match, the world’s seventh racket was stronger than the French representative Hugo Humbert. The match, which lasted 1 hour and 31 minutes, ended with the decisive victory of the Russians with scores of 6:2 and 6:3.
During the game, Rublev scored two aces, did not commit a single double-fault, and won 63% of the balls on first serve. His opponent also served twice in a row, committed a double fault and won 56% of his first serve balls.
Rublev will compete with Bulgarian representative Grigor Dimitrov for the right to play in the final of the tournament. The winner of this match will play for the cup with the winner of the other semi-final match, where Hubert Hurkacz will face Sebastian Korda.
