The French central defender had to leave the Los Cármenes field early after an unfortunate action.
Jules Koundé was injured during the match between FC Barcelona and Granada in Los Cármenes on October 8, 2023, before the ninth matchday of LaLiga.

It was a rather unfortunate move that left Koundé out of action early against Granada. When the Nasrid team won 2-0 due to Bryan Zaragoza’s double (Koundé has much of the responsibility for the two goals), and in a defensive move Gavi fell on the knee of his French teammate.
Koundé immediately lay down on the grass and called for medical attention. He received medical attention and tried to return to the field, but that only lasted five minutes. A ball dispute with Lucas Boyé ended the former Sevilla’s participation in the match.
It is still too early to know what injury he has, but he will certainly miss the international breakthrough with France. Barcelona will play Athletic Club de Bilbao and Shakhtar Donetsk after the FIFA date before hosting Real Madrid on October 28.
