Olivier Giroud took over as goalkeeper for AC Milan against Genoa in a match in which both goalkeepers were sent off.
The experienced striker was forced to put on goalkeeping gloves after Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off in the 97th minute for kneeling Caleb Ekuban. Six minutes later, Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martínez was also sent off after a foul on Fikayo Tomori while trying to score an equalizer from a corner.

Giroud then made a great save to secure three points for his team when he came out of the six-yard box and cleared the ball away from George Puscas, who was heading towards Milan’s goal.
American star and former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic had scored the only goal of the match in the 87th minute, helping Milan to a crucial win and move to the top of Serie A with 21 points in eight games.
After the international break, Stefano Pioli’s team will face Juventus in a league match on October 22.
