“I chose the Radio Tapok group, we changed the program. So the whole story about Rammstein is behind us. I initially heard the songs of this group. I started thinking about the covers and what I could replace them with. And I remembered this option,” said Gumennik.
On September 16 and 17, test skates of the Russian national team were held in Moscow. Although 21-year-old Gumennik prepared a new program for the season with the song Rammstein, he performed last year’s short program. Skater coach Veronika Daineko noted that information about an undesirable performance for this group appeared a few days before the test skates, so they did not have time to organize a new short program.
Gumennik said he did not know who issued the ban on the use of Rammstein music. The skater won the silver medal at the last Russian Championships.
